Livelihood Business Incubators
Nisarg was directly involved in the formation of 9 Livelihood Business Incubators (LBIs) right from the preparation of their DPRs to their sanctioning, establishment and their successful run. These LBIs were inaugurated and appreciated by Honourable Minister MSME Shri Kalraj Mishra Ji, Honourable MOS MSME Shri Giriraj Singh Ji and then DC MSME and Joint Secretary MSME, Govt of India.
Appreciation Metrics to Measure: Nisarg made sure that these establishments ran sustainably and were an asset to the state. The success of these LBIs was appreciated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, in the 65th Plenary session of NEC (North East Council) at Shillong.

Today, blockchain is “The” Technology of the future. It is disrupting industries, ecosystems, and economies. At Nisarg we are working hard towards demystifying Block-Chain. We aim to make it easy to use and remain relevant to the Artisans and farmers associated with us. The inherent values of transparency and immutable nature of transactions, leading to “Trust” in the ecosystem, make Earthdex™ unique. It is our homegrown blockchain ecosystem that is serving as a backbone of our Value generation and redistribution infrastructure. Earthdex™ works for both the Artisans and the consumers, removing the opacities in the supply chain and assuring value generation through trust, and its eventual redistribution in the artisanal ecosystem. No other technology represents Nisarg’s core values of Trust and Transparency in the way Earthdex™ does. We are proud to share that today over 40 Artisanal and Agro-based Clusters with over 50,000 Artisans are being linked to Earthdex™. Going forward we are working towards a 100% integrated, AI- supported, Block-Chain and Smart Contract Ecosystem, which will work for our Farmers and Artisans, opening new avenues of growth for them.
Backyard Poultry Farming
Nisarg’s backyard poultry farming initiative has transformed the livelihoods of rural and tribal communities, particularly empowering women. Through a cluster-based approach, farmers rear hens for egg production, generating significant supplementary income. The initiative includes essential infrastructure like foraging areas, fencing, shelter, and feed resource development, including growing maggots and earthworm production. It also emphasises proper rearing practices, including the selection of birds and breeds, egg laying management, and disease control measures. This initiative serves as a successful model for promoting both economic growth and sustainable farming practices, demonstrating Nisarg’s commitment to rural development and community empowerment.
