Sonali’s Voice: Learning, Language, and a Life Full of Possibilities

Sonali’s Voice: Learning, Language, and a Life Full of Possibilities

Sonali, a bright-eyed girl from Bihar, has always known two homes: the village where her roots lie, and the bustling NCR cityscape where her father has worked for years to support the family. Now living in Delhi with her parents and three siblings, Sonali finally has something she longed for back home—a chance to truly learn.

“In the village, studying was difficult,” she says. “Here, I can go to school every day. I love it.”

Sonali’s passion for education shines through every word she speaks. She’s especially fond of English and grammar, often breezing through exercises with great fluency. Her eyes sparkle when she talks about learning new words or crafting sentences. At just 11, Sonali dreams big, and her words carry the confidence of someone who knows education will shape her future.

The TEACH Hub has played a pivotal role in nurturing that dream. It’s where Sonali gets to practice what she learns in school—and go even deeper. The Hub’s warm environment, interactive lessons, and focus on both academics and personal growth have allowed her to thrive.

“I like coming to the TEACH Hub because I learn even more here,” she says. “They help us understand things better. I can speak better English now.”

For Sonali, education isn’t just a subject—it’s her passion, her pride, and her path forward. And for children like her, the TEACH Hub is more than a classroom. It’s a stepping stone to a brighter, more confident future.

From Darbhanga to Delhi: Sambhavi’s Journey of Hope and Learning

From Darbhanga to Delhi: Sambhavi’s Journey of Hope and Learning

At just 10 years old, Sambhavi carries a quiet strength that belies her age. Originally from Darbhanga, Bihar, Sambhavi is the eldest of three siblings. Her family moved to Delhi in search of better opportunities after her father struggled to find work in their village. While they occasionally visit their hometown, Sambhavi now considers Delhi home—for one simple reason: here, she can learn.

Back in Darbhanga, school was a distant dream. “There’s no real scope for education in our village,” Sambhavi shares. But everything changed when her family found stability in Delhi and she was introduced to the TEACH Hub.

The TEACH Hub quickly became more than just a learning space for Sambhavi. It became a gateway to a world she never knew existed. “I love coming here. I can do math now!” she says, eyes lighting up. She’s especially fascinated by shapes and patterns—a far cry from the days when school felt out of reach.

For Sambhavi, learning isn’t just about textbooks; it’s about transformation. The TEACH Hub’s supportive environment, hands-on activities, and consistent mentorship have sparked a deep curiosity in her—a curiosity that may very well shape her future.

Sambhavi’s story is just one of many. Through safe, community-based learning spaces, the TEACH Hub is helping migrant and underserved children reclaim their right to education, explore their potential, and dream beyond limitations.

Jyoti’s Sanctuary: A Space to Learn, Speak, and Dream

Jyoti’s Sanctuary: A Space to Learn, Speak, and Dream

Jyoti’s world has always revolved around the narrow lanes of Delhi’s NCR region, where her father works tirelessly as a tailor. The eldest of four sisters, Jyoti has learned to carry herself with quiet dignity and a fierce desire to grow. Despite her love for learning, school has always been just out of reach.

“We couldn’t manage my school admission,” she says. But instead of giving up, Jyoti found a new beginning at the TEACH Hub.

For her, the TEACH Hub is more than a learning space—it’s a sanctuary. “I like the environment here,” she says. “I learn how to live nicely, how to speak nicely.”

In a world that often overlooks girls like Jyoti, the TEACH Hub offers recognition, support, and belonging. Here, she practices speaking with confidence, learns life skills, and explores ideas that stretch far beyond her daily routine. It’s where she feels seen, heard, and valued—not just as a student, but as a young girl with potential.

Though not yet enrolled in formal schooling, Jyoti is preparing herself with every lesson, every conversation, every moment spent at the Hub. She’s not just waiting for a better future—she’s building it.

For girls like Jyoti, the TEACH Hub is a bridge—a bridge between aspiration and opportunity, between silence and self-expression.

NAMSAI

Set amidst the serene landscapes of Namsai, where nature gracefully blends with human ingenuity, this is a story of agricultural excellence and the incredible journey of empowerment and transformation under the SFURTI scheme. Join us on this captivating expedition as we uncover how
Namsai’s farmers turned their hardships into opportunities, unlocking a path towards unprecedented success.

The farmers of Namsai faced numerous challenges in cultivating turmeric, moringa, mushroom, and aloe vera. The lack of proper knowledge about these crops, inadequate infrastructure, and limited market opportunities hindered their progress. Despite their best efforts, the absence
of value addition mechanisms prevented them from unlocking the true potential of their produce.

Through awareness campaigns and training programs, farmers were equipped with the knowledge and skills required to thrive. They gained a
deep understanding of cultivation techniques, economics, and the medicinal benefits of these crops.

Under the SFURTI scheme of MSME, the moringa, aloe vera, turmeric, and mushroom clusters blossomed into vibrant hubs of activity. Skill
development programs, export trips, and professional guidance provided invaluable expertise and exposure. The establishment of a central common facility, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and raw materials, further bolstered their capabilities. Turmeric processing emerged as a lucrative income source, reaching an impressive production capacity.

Moreover, the clusters set up a Rural-Mart outlet to sell their value-added products, with future plans to leverage e-commerce platforms
for a broader market reach. This strategic shift towards value addition enabled the artisans to command higher prices and substantially increase their incomes, making the dream of expanding their reach and tapping into new markets a
reality.

Recognising the lack of awareness about the medicinal benefits of curcumin, moringa powder, and aloe vera gel, efforts were made to
educate not only the farmers but also the wider community about the tremendous health benefits and commercial potential of these products.

The impact on the farming community has been profound, catapulting them from a state of struggle to one of prosperity. By embracing
modern techniques and leveraging the resources provided under the SFURTI scheme, the artisans have elevated their livelihoods and contributed to the
sustainable growth of the region.

The cluster’s profitability is actively growing through the combined efforts of Namsai Organic Spices And Agricultural Products Producer Company Limited, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, serving as both the Implementing Agency (IA) and Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). They facilitate production and
marketing support, along with the cluster members, artisans, MSME-Technology Development Centre Agra (PPDC), and Nisarg Agripreneurship Foundation, acting as the Technical Agency (TA), fulfilling all responsibilities under the SFURTI
scheme.
